The George K. Bukovsky Award

Recognizing Outstanding Contributions to the Reprographics Industry
ABOUT THE AWARD
The Bukovsky Award honors the memory of George K. Bukovsky, who worked in the reprographics industry for more than 30 years. During his career, he served as a champion for the IRgA and actively promoted the industry. More importantly, he served as a friend and advisor to countless IRgA members. His enthusiasm and spirit were an inspiration to all those with whom he worked. George Bukovsky passed away in 1990, at which time the Bukovsky Award was established to honor his great contributions by awarding others who have similarly made a lasting impact on the reprographics industry.
2008 Bukovsky Award Recipients
Chuck Gremillion

Chuck Gremillion is the regional president of A&E – The Graphics Complex, a division of Thomas Reprographics in Houston, Texas. He joined the company in 1977 as sales representative and also served as production manager.
Under Gremillion’s leadership, A&E grew to $31 million in sales before being acquired by Thomas Reprographics in 2007.
One of his greatest accomplishments is implementing a quality management program that has helped A&E to become a top reprographics company. He empowers employees to deliver the A&E vision “to be a provider of world-class customer service – the standard by which others are measured.”
An IRgA Past President, Chuck has served the IRgA Board in many capacities, including Convention Chair this year. It was his vision to create the Digital Services Committee, and served as chair 2005-2007. Chuck is also the current co-chairman of ReproMAX.
Chuck is also a leader in Houston where he has served as president of the Houston Architecture Foundation. Currently, he is the incoming president of the Rice Design Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of architecture, urban design and the environment in the Houston area. Further, he is a current member of the board of directors of the Better Business Bureau of Metropolitan Houston.
Chuck’s brother, Rock, who also works for the family business, describes him as “a born leader and a team player,” who is a tireless advocate for the industry.
He and his wife, Janna, have four children, Charlie, Emily, Courtney, and Francie.
Norman Krangel

Norman Krangel is director of Call Print in London, in the United Kingdom. He started his reprographics career at 15, with UDO (Now “Service Point Group”), as a messenger. Those were the days of manual blueprint machines, photo-stat machines and carbon arc lamps.
At 17, he became foreman of their main central London branch, and at 19, under the guidance of Managing Director Terry Rutter, became their youngest manager.
When UDO went public, Norman was installed on the company’s board, and served as Managing Director of the London Region. By 1990, UDO was the largest reprographics company in Europe and the only public listed one.
Norman left UDO in 1991, after 28 years, when he joined Terry Rutter and Alan Cheek who had started Call Print. As a shareholding director, Norman helped Call Print establish itself as one of UK’s leading and most technically advanced reprographics companies.
Norman has served on the board of Delta, the UK Reprographic Trade Association, where he met his now good friends John Bingham, Mike Carter, and other American reprographers.
An IRgA member for more than 20 years, Norman is described by his by colleague, and friend Steven Cheek, as “a leader, friend, and confidante to all he has worked with, always finding the time to listen to those around him and to assist wherever he can., and a mentor to many.”
Norman and his wife, Carol, have two sons, Ian and Andrew.

Morin started RIBP in 1974 and, through consistent quality and service, built the company to the top position in the Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts market.
