IRgA Digital ServicesThe International Reprographic Association (IRgA) has formed a Digital Services Committee focused on discussing and sharing best practices with the IRgA membership as it relates to providing and charging for digital services. The IRgA has defined digital services as “The creation, preparation, manipulation and management of digital files created for the purpose of conveying information for electronic distribution, print output or archival purposes.” Review the following IRgA resources on digital services and look for more information to come including a comprehensive listing of digital services and charges and the IRgA digital services guide including case studies from several reprographic firms. Click here for the IRgA's digital services guide, Digital Services and the Reprographer. (members-only) Click here for the IRgA best practices statement on digital services that covers the definition of digital services, why reprographic firms should charge, what types of services to charge for and more. Click here to review the results of the second IRgA survey on Digital Services conducted in 2007. The survey covered whether members charge for digital services or are planning to, what types of services they charge for, how charges are determined and more.
