Ideas to Green Your Office

Education
  • Educate customers on the benefits of printing double sided.
  • Educate your customers on being green.
  • Share your green policy with your clients.
  • Keep track of all of your initiatives and show your staff what impact your green changes have made.
  • Participate in local tree planting and tell your customers and the community how many trees your company planted and how many sheets of pare that equates too.
Delivery Services
  • Look at vehicles that use less fuel or can use alternative fuels.
  • Consider a bicycle courier for downtown locations.
Purchasing
  • Buy pens and pencils that are made of recycled paper, wood or biodegradable plastic.
  • Refill ink Cartridges.
  • Look for paper products (paper towel/napkins/toilet paper) that are recycled or tree free.

  • Ask your cleaning service to switch to environmentally friendly cleaning products.
  • When securing a new location look for the proximity to public transportation, bicycle parking.
  • Multi location facilities can consider web meetings or conference calls.
  • Acquire chain of custody certification such as FSC, that track certified material from the forest to the consumer, including all successive stages of processing, transformation, manufacturing and distribution (including printing).
