IRgA Convention & Trade Show: Bigger, Better
Preliminary indications of the 2005 IRgA Convention & Trade Show, May 11–13 at Caesars palace in Las Vegas point to another highly successful event.
- At 6 weeks out, full convention registration already exceeds full registration achieved in 2004. A day option has been added for those who cannot attend the full convention.
- Exhibit space equals 2004 exhibit space committed at this time last year. Because of the size of the exhibit hall at Caesars Palace, there's plenty of room for growth & it's not too late to encourage industry suppliers to be at the largest reprographic event of the year!
- There are 9 ½ hours of dedicated exhibit hours – with no more overlap of educational programming
- Social events are plentiful – with 4 ½ hours of scheduled networking, plus the annual golf tournament and three companion tours!
- We've beefed up the educational programming – 8 hours of learning; 9 session choices!
- A Reprographic Shop Tour has been added for International attendees
It's not too late to register. Additional programming will be provided Tuesday, May 10 by the Western Reprographic Association

Rather than keeping names of the recipients secret until the awards presentation, the IRgA has decided to announce the recipients in advance to maximize the recognition these individuals have earned.
Representing the 2005 Past President's Advisory Council, which selects the Bukovsky Award recipients based on nominations submitted, are Bob Margolis, Chair; Peter Morin; Mike Tackett; and Bill Thomas. The committee spent multiple hours reviewing the history of the Bukovsky Award, refining the criteria to meet the original intention of the award and reviewing numerous highly qualified and deserving candidates.
Come celebrate the reprographics industry and recognize some of the best our industry has to offer!

Managing Employee Cell Phone Use
By Wayne Cramer
Cell phones have become a fixture in peoples' lives around the globe. They are an indispensable tool for conducting business and, if managed properly, can increase productivity, customer satisfaction and profit. They can also easily be abused.
As with any business expense, cell phone costs can quickly add up if you don't have a system in place to regulate their use. Too often, employees see cell phones as a cool perk or status symbol instead of a tool for doing their jobs. Also, individual cell phones can overlap with company land lines, creating additional telephone numbers for customers to track, not to mention additional expense.
How are reprographers managing cell phone use among their employees? REPRO REPORT talked to several reprographers and found a variety of practices.
The full article on this subject will appear in the May/June 2005 issue of REPRO REPORT.
