This week Canon introduced an 11-foot-wide printer based on the company’s UVGel 860 Ink technology. The new Colorado XL Series prints on both flexible roll media and rigid media and it can print on two 1.6-meter rolls of media side by side. The UV gel allows the printer to create prints that are instant-dry with no odor. Each 850 print head has 4544 nozzles, and two of them together allow for CMYK printing. If you need white ink, you can add a third head. The printer also features the TRIDrive Vacuum Belt System that maintains tension and limits misregistration. Click here for more information.
