Our first stop: Blue Boy Document Imaging in Washington, DC
What will you enjoy during the first day of the 2025 IRgA Workshop in Arlington, Virginia? Lots of opportunities to hang with fellow attendees and talk shop.
The day, September 18, will begin at 1 p.m. with a tour of IRgA member Blue Boy Document Imaging in Washington, DC. Hiram Russell, owner of the company, is the current IRgA president. He founded the company in 1989 and has done reproduction for major projects such as FedEx Field and the Washington Convention Center.
In addition to digital repro work, Blue Boy has a strong business in small-format color printing for businesses in the neighborhood, such as menus for restaurants and brochures for hotels. They also do variable data printing to personalize letters, postcards, and other elements of marketing and sales campaigns.
Next we’ll travel as a group to visit RPG Squarefoot Solutions, an IRgA member in Arlington, Virginia, about 20 minutes from Blue Boy.
RPG offers a wide variety of high-tech solutions for the AEC community, such as 3D laser scanning, reality capture, and job site collaboration tools. The company also offers more traditional reprographics services, including CAD printing, scanning and archiving, and color graphics. And they’re an equipment dealer.
After learning about these two successful IRgA members, we’ll travel together to the convention hotel, Le Meridien, a short three miles from RPG. We can check in and enjoy a cocktail at the bar to continue conversations started during the shop tours.

cocktails, American tavern fare & a deep whiskey list,” for cocktails and dinner at 7 p.m. Menu favorites include a range of fresh salads, gourmet mac & cheese dishes, wood-fired pizza, and entrees such as roasted chicken breast and chipotle-glazed grilled salmon. This meal, which is included in your registration, will be another opportunity to get to know the other attendees and talk shop.
