A familiar name is now leading the Reprographic Services Association (RSA): The association has announced that Bruce Franz is their new Executive Director. Following a national search, the RSA Board of Directors unanimously selected Franz to lead the association. He officially began serving as Executive Director on June 15, 2026.
Mark Beilman, who was RSA’s executive director from 2002 to 2016, had been running the organization on an interim basis since the departure of the previous executive director, Stephanie Shark, in February.
Franz brings more than four decades of experience owning and operating a successful reprographics business. He began his career with Franz Reprographics, which is based outside Minneapolis and also has locations in North Dakota and South Dakota, in 1984 and spent the next 42 years helping grow and lead the company before retiring in June 2026 to become the RSA's Executive Director. He is now focused exclusively on serving the association, its members, and its vendor partners.
"Bruce's industry experience, leadership, and long-standing commitment to the cooperative values of the RSA make him an outstanding choice to lead our association," said Cheryl Frizzell, president of the RSA Board of Directors and CEO of Key Companies. "He has earned the trust and admiration of members and vendors across the country through his willingness to share knowledge, mentor others, and serve our industry."
Bruce's involvement with the association began in 1984 through the Ammonia Sniffers of America (ASA), one of the predecessor organizations that helped form today's RSA. During the past four decades, he has served as RSA Board President, National Sales Committee Chair, Secretary, RSA University contributor, and an eight-year member of the Board of Directors.
"I am honored to serve as the Executive Director of the RSA, an organization that has been an important part of my professional life for more than 40 years," said Franz. "What makes this opportunity so meaningful is that I've spent my entire career in the same business as our members, and I look forward to working with our members and vendors, building on our solid foundation, and helping our association continue to grow and succeed."
