As in the rest of the world, reprographics firms in Germany have suffered greatly during the Covid crisis.
Nearly 75 percent of German reprographics firms responding to a survey by motio, that country's reprographics association, reported a dramatic drop in sales in April compared to a year earlier. The survey, completed by 71 firms, also revealed that only about 28 percent feel their company is in good financial shape currently; about 9 percent fear for their existence.
Fortunately, there has been government assistance for most members. The survey showed that 73 percent of members took advantage of "Kurzarbeit," the government program that pays part of worker's wages when an employer cannot.
