AEC-ST’s trademarked brands including its specialty events including, The National BIM Conference; The National High Performance Building Conference; The National Specifiers Conference; FEDspec; The Sustainable Smart Cities Conference (S2C2), and The Federal Design & Construction Outlook Conference.
These events will join DBEI’s recognized portfolio of event series in North America, Europe, Asia, and ANZ including BILT, the Building Content Summit, Data Day, the Design Technology Summit, BILT Academy and the recently introduced DBEI Hackathon.
The new combined events will be produced and managed by RTC Events Management (RTC) and together, will offer comprehensive, cutting-edge slate of emerging technology solutions for the important design, building, infrastructure, construction and facilities management marketplaces.
AEC-ST founder and Principal George Borkovich says, “I am very pleased to take this next step with such stellar partners who have a keen understanding of the diversity, the needs, and the nuances of this unique industry. Since 1980, the AEC shows have been known as the leading educational events for advancing solutions on information technology, building information modeling and facility performance. I am excited for the opportunity to continue to provide top-notch conference programming for AEC information exchange, and a commercial marketplace for high-tech building products, services, project management solutions, computer hardware manufacturers, and software providers.”
Adds Wesley Benn, DBEI founder and Executive Chairman, “As a global not-for-profit institute, the mission of DBEI is to provide environments and services that foster innovation, collaboration and change in the international built environment community. The lengthy experience and deep expertise that George and AEC-ST brings to the community, in combination with our existing services and global reach, provides us the opportunity to expand our offerings to the AEC community in an effort to continue to drive that mission forward. With our combined and extensive reach into potential AEC end-users, in a platform-neutral environment, we feel especially qualified to deliver the best events for addressing the unique concerns and extensive opportunities across this important industry sector. By merging these two leading portfolios, our attendees and exhibitors will have exposure to even more solutions for making our built environment a better place including through increased productivity and efficiencies, better collaboration and coordination, and sustainable design and environmentally friendly construction.
Heidi Earl, Managing Director of RTC Events Management says, “AEC-ST’s long history and experience in the AEC space, coupled with DBEI’s mission and current high-level event offerings, bring a wealth of expertise to this initiative. We look forward to working with AEC-ST and expanding the offering to our community.”
