Ed Avis Chosen New IRgA Managing Director

Ed Avis has been chosen as the new managing director of the International Reprographic Association. Avis replaces Joel Salus, who has moved to another position within the reprographics industry.

Avis was editor of IRgA's publication Plan & Print in 1992, then became editor/publisher of Modern Reprographics in 1993. After leaving Modern Reprographics in 2000, he continued to write for IRgA's publication Repro Report, and in 2006 he wrote The Green Reprographics Handbook. Avis also writes the newsletter of the Eastern Reprographics Association and newsletters for several reprographics shops.

In addition to his work in the reprographics area, Avis has worked for the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Society of Professional Journalists, and Marion Street Press, Inc. He holds a BA in English from Kalamazoo College and an MS in organizational leadership from Dominican University.
