Arlington, VA—PLP Digital Systems, Inc., a leading software solutions company in the management and delivery of project critical construction information, officially changed its company name to OpCenter, Inc. After more than 20 years in business, the company believes this new brand more clearly conveys the company direction to its current and future customers around the globe.
John Cronin, CEO of OpCenter, says “Over the last few years there have been significant changes in how project critical construction content is shared, managed and distributed. Physical document distribution is an option, but not the standard. Together with our partners we are adapting to provide innovative solutions to lead change in the AEC industry.”
While the “PLP Digital Systems” name will go away, the traditional products clients have relied on over the course of 20 years will continue to be improved, maintained and integrated with new digital content solutions. “With this strategic focus and our new cloud-based solutions, we are able to better assimilate our partners into project critical processes in the AEC ecosystem,” said Cronin. “Our team will continue to provide partners with market intelligence, world-class customer service, marketing collateral and solutions to help them manage the construction information that is pivotal to their long term success.”
Along with the company’s name change, it is also introducing a new logo, a new website (www.opcenter.com), and updating existing websites and products to reflect the change. The existing PLP Digital Systems site, www.plp.com, will be renamed after its flagship product in the reprographics market, PlotWorks, plotworks.opcenter.com.
The company is also introducing its first cloud-based content sharing product OpCenterTM Share, and an integrated collaborative construction product: OpCenterTM Build. “These solutions help AEC project owners uncover a solution to a clear problem: orchestrating the flow of precise, time sensitive project-critical information,” said Cronin.
“We are looking forward to building upon the success we have experienced with our partners and introducing new and value creating solutions for our partners in 2014,” said Cronin.
