APDSP member firm Sharpe Co. in North Carolina has been a leader in safety supplies for years, but mostly on construction sites (click here to read an article about their safety business). Lately, however, they've found success selling coronavirus-related safety supplies.
First, the company donated some 12” diameter social distancing floor decals to several essential retail businesses, including grocers, convenience stores and hardware stores across North Carolina, says Chad Sealey, the company's director of sales and marketing.
Then they started making custom clear plexi sneeze guards and face shields, as well as COVID-19 window and floor signage for banking, retail and restaurant customers.
Now they are offering these products to any APDSP member who would like to add them to their product line. In addition, because they have connections in the safety industry, they have access to 3-ply, 100 percent cotton face masks, which they also are making available to members.
"Please extend our services to the APDSP network as a supplement to their printing services," Sealey says. "Our margins are slim on these items, but we will provide discounted pricing to members if they want to sell these items to their customers. They can contact me for pricing csealey@sharpeco.net. I would prefer email but they can call as well, 336-287-7226."
