Dominion Blue, a long-time APDSP/IRgA member in British Columbia, Canada, was acquired by Astley-Gilbert earlier this month. Astley-Gilbert is a 50-year-old printer with 14 locations, including in Vancouver, Ottawa and Toronto.
"We're pleased to have sealed the deal with AG," wrote John Bingham, Dominion Blue's owner and president, in a message on the company's website. "We've known the leadership team for years and have a healthy respect for their business and people. I can retire knowing DB clients and staff are in capable hands."
Bingham was president of IRgA in 1990-91, and he was board member of RMX Network from 2017-2020. Dominion Blue, which was founded in 1912, has two locations in Vancouver, one in Burnaby and one in Richmond. Both companies have deep roots in the AEC industry, but have expanded their services to include signage, grand format printing, scanning, document management and much more.
