John Lipari, a current APDSP board member and president of Plan & Print Systems in Syracuse, NY, has been slated to become the next president of APDSP.
"I'm delighted that John will take over leadership of the association," says Ed Avis, APDSP's managing director. "He's a veteran reprographics professional and he has served APDSP well in his years on the board. I look forward to working closely with him in the coming year as we implement more ideas to improve our members' businesses."
Andy Heling, who has been president for the past two years, will leave the board once the new president takes over. Heling is president and co-owner of Blue Print Service Company in Wisconsin.
"We are extremely grateful to Andy for leading the organization during these past two years, which were very challenging for the reprographics industry," Avis says. "Andy's gracious, wise leadership helped the association and the industry as a whole survive and thrive during COVID. He was always generous with his time and insights, both during his presidency and his years on the board prior to becoming president, and we will miss his presence."
Lipari began working for Plan & Print Systems, which was founded by his father, in 1991. He and his brother Frank, Jr. bought the firm from their father in 2002. Click here to read an article about Lipari and the company.
The formal election will be held during the APDSP Board conference call on September 7 at noon Eastern. All APDSP members are welcome to join the call and election. If you would like to join, please email Ed Avis, ed.avis@apdsp.org, and he'll send you log-in information.
