The leadership of APDSP has two new faces: John Lipari and Jen Fuller were elected to the Board of Directors on August 5. And the presidency of the association has changed: Andy Heling has succeeded Kyle Batsford, who served two years as president.
“It’s always important to have fresh perspectives on the board,” says Ed Avis, APDSP managing director. “I know John well from our previous interactions, including a trip to Germany a couple of years ago. He’s a smart guy with a lot of in-the-trenches experience. I met Jen about a year ago and have gotten to know her better recently – I can’t wait to see how the skills she has developed in her career outside of reprographics will impact APDSP.”
Lipari is the president of Plan & Print Systems in Syracuse, NY, and Fuller owns DRSi in Seattle. You can read more about both of them by clicking here, and stay tuned in the coming edition of APDSP Today for interviews with both of them.
Heling is advancing to the presidency of APDSP after two years as a board member. He’s the president and co-owner of Blue Print Service Company, which has locations in Appleton and Green Bay, Wisconsin. Click here to read an article about Heling and the other owners of Blue Print Service Co.
“Andy has been a great asset to the association during these past two years,” Avis says. “He became an owner just three years ago, so he knows firsthand what it takes to build a successful reprographics business, and he’s always happy to share his knowledge. I look forward to working with him even more closely in the coming year.”
The board is losing two valuable members. Batsford, who joined the board in 2016 and is director of operations for Palomar Reprographics in Carlsbad, California, now becomes the immediate past president. And Michael Shaw, who joined the board in 2015 but who previously served as president of IRgA and is a Bukovsky Award winner, is transitioning off the board.
“I want to thank Kyle and Michael for their extraordinary service to APDSP,” Avis says. “Kyle stepped up to serve an extra year as president when we asked, and I’m deeply grateful for that. And Michael has always been a great help to me and the association – his knowledge and connections are unmatched. I’m confident that both men will be accessible in the coming years.”
