Ed Avis and Achim Carius enjoying the festivities at the 2017 motio conference in Essen, Germany.
Are you interested in expanding your business connections? Or learning about opportunities overseas? Or just drinking beer and wine and eating hearty German food? Then consider joining APDSP in its 2019 trip to the convention of Motio, the German reprographics association.
The conference is May 10-11 in Bad Neuenahr, a small town near Bonn. However, in the days
leading up to the conference we will visit two reprographics shops in Bonn and Cologne, and connect with German imaging leaders. During the conference itself we will visit the concurrent trade show -- where nearly every exhibitor speaks good English -- and attend the seminars and social events. The Friday night party is a great time to enjoy German delicacies and connect with leaders of Germany's reprographic community.
Don't worry about the language barrier. Nearly everyone you meet will speak decent English, and Ed Avis, APDSP's managing director, speaks German well enough to interpret for you if needed. Worried about logistics? Don't be - we can pick you up at the airport, and we'll all travel together to the various events.
The trip is entirely affordable. The conference fee is $175 Euros (about $200), and that includes two lunch buffets, the Friday night party, and all conference events. The hotel is 99 Euros ($112) per night for a single room, or 139 Euros ($160) for a double room, including breakfast.
When the trip is over, you'll come home with new connections in Germany, new friends among APDSP members, and a deeper appreciation for the relationship between North America and Europe.
