What metrics do you use to measure the success of your reprographics firm? And do you have solid comparable information to see if your firm matches up to others in the industry?
Those are two issues that an upcoming APDSP educational program aims to address. The program, called APDSP Repro Metrics, will consist of three stages.
In the first stage, we will gather information about which metrics APDSP members use or would like to use. A survey is currently active to gather that info (please click here to take the survey!).
The second part of the program will be educational. We'll hold a webinar with a finance educator to show members how to calculate the metrics we've identified and how to use them to measure their success. The education will also include guidance about how firms can best improve their performance on these metrics.
The third stage of the program will create standard comparables. We will ask members to volunteer metrics data on their firms which will be averaged so that members can see where they stand in comparison. About every six months we will ask firms for fresh data so that we can update the comparables. Only firms that provide data will be given access to the comparables.
The program is in the first stage now, and the educational stage is scheduled for the first quarter of 2021.
