Large-format scanning and document management are important business segments for many IRgA members, and a new IRgA program will help members secure new clients for those services.
The IRgA Scanning Marketing Program begins with a website -- wideformatscanning.org -- that will be nationally promoted through Google AdWords to attract individuals seeking large-format scanning providers. Prospective clients will complete an online form that will be forwarded to IRgA headquarters. The leads will then be sent to the nearest IRgA member who chooses to participate. IRgA will ask the members to report back on whether the lead led to a sales so that we can track the success of the program.
This program is being done in partnership with a subsidiary of the German reprographics association, go4scan.net. The partnership involves an exchange of links, so that customers who need service in Europe but come to our site can click on their link and be directed to the German site, and vice versa. The German site went live last year and has produced daily results, according to Raoul Zardeninks, the leader of motio, the German association.
The U.S. version of the site will formally be launched during the IRgA Profit Workshop in Newport Beach, California on April 11-12 (though the site is working now).
The next step is for IRgA members who are interested in participating to sign up and indicate what their scanning and document management capabilities are. If you are interested, please click here to complete the registration form. There is no cost or obligation to participate; we are just trying to assemble the network of members who can potentially supply service.
IRgA is funding the program -- it is free for all IRgA members for the time being. After a three-month beta period we will evaluate the success of the program and costs, and decide if we will ask participating members to pay a nominal fee to offset the costs of the advertising.
If you would like to participate, please click here to register. If you have questions, ask Ed Avis, ed.avis@irga.com, 708-218-7755. We also welcome feedback -- if you see something on the site that's not working well or otherwise could be improved, please let us know!
